Product Liability

Charcoal Chariots is not responsible for any harm or injury caused due to any person’s use of the equipment (proper, improper or negligent) and/or product. The product shall only be operated or used by someone over the age of 18, of sound mind, and not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol, who has been trained in the correct operation of the charcoal, barbeques, and any heat source used. Any modification to the products voids any warranty and may cause harm to individuals using our barbeques or in the vicinity of the barbeques while in operation.

Product Safety Caution

The customer and/or user of any Charcoal Chariots barbeque shall only use charcoal as a heat source. Adding oil fuel starters such as kerosene can result in injury and/or death.

Any warping of metal on the barbeque will return to normal once cooled down and does not mean your barbeque is defective.

Please note, it is the user/owner’s responsibility if damages to a Charcoal Chariots barbeque occur caused by over-firing, blowouts caused by environmental conditions such as strong winds or inadequate ventilation, scratches, dents, corrosion, deterioration of painted and plated finishes, discoloration caused by heat, abrasive or chemical cleaners or UV exposure or damages caused by misuse, accident, hail, grease fires, lack of cleaning and maintenance, hostile environments such as salt or chlorine, alterations, abuse, neglect or parts installed from other manufacturers (with exception of fire bricks).

If you live in a coastal area, or have your product located near a pool or hot tub, maintenance includes regular washing and rinsing of the exterior surfaces as outlined in the accompanying owner’s manual, in order to prevent surface corrosion. Should deterioration of parts occur to the degree of non-performance (rusted through or burnt through) a replacement part will be provided.

All items shipped are subject to Declared Value. To decline the Declared Value on your shipment, it must clearly be indicated on your purchase order. By declining the Declared Value, the buyer must supply their carrier’s account number as the order will be shipped 3rd party. The buyer assumes all responsibility for the shipment once it has left our warehouse.

Note, shortage or damage in shipment does not excuse the buyer from timely and full payment of the invoice.

Unless we are advised otherwise, back orders will be shipped when the product arrives or unit is completed. If early shipment is requested, then freight charges become the customer’s responsibility.

Our barbecues and wholesale charcoal orders are required to be shipped on a wood pallet due to weight, size, product type, and packaging constraints. Please keep this in mind when picking up your products from freight carriers or when arranging pick up.

Any unexpected extras or surcharges (such as limited access, inside delivery, residential address, lift gate, etc.) identified by the freight company at time of delivery, will be added to the customer’s Charcoal Chariot invoice.

By signing your name on the delivery receipt without noting any damages, you are stating that you have received your shipment in acceptable condition.

Freight Claims

Upon receipt of your shipment, please inspect for external damage. If no damage is evident on the external packaging, open packaging to ensure all ordered items are within the box, and that there is no concealed damage to the product(s)/equipment(s) that may have occurred in transit.
